Uninstall SAM Office from Windows
Remove the desktop suite from Windows Settings and account for its per-user settings cleanup.
This guide is based on application documentation. Its full procedure has not yet been tested directly; some details may vary by operating system and version.
Step by step
- Save your documents and make backups of the files you want to keep. Ask other users of this computer to save and close their Office documents too.
- Before uninstalling, ask your administrator to back up any SAM Office settings that must be retained. The uninstaller can remove SAMOffice and SAM Office folders in AppData/Roaming and AppData/Local for every user profile.
- Close SAM Write, SAM Count and SAM Show. Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps; on Windows 10, open Apps & features.
- Find the SAM Office entry. Open its menu if necessary, choose Uninstall and confirm.
- Approve the Windows administrator request and wait for the removal to finish.
- Check that the SAM Office apps and their shortcuts have been removed and that your document backups remain. If reinstalling, use the official installer and expect to sign in again.
The uninstaller removes the suite and shortcuts; it does not target your ordinary document folders. Back up important files before any removal.
Full uninstall includes best-effort cleanup of SAM sign-in, preferences and icon caches across user profiles; do not use uninstall as a way to preserve those settings.
If icons remain blank or stale after reinstalling, refresh the desktop and restart Windows before asking support for cleanup assistance.
