SAM Office
Add, rename and organize sheets in SAM Count
Keep related tables in one workbook and give each sheet a useful name.
This guide is based on application documentation. Its full procedure has not yet been tested directly; some details may vary by operating system and version.
Step by step
- Open your workbook in SAM Count. Click a sheet tab at the bottom to make that sheet active; its cells appear in the grid.
- Right-click a sheet tab and choose Insert Sheet. Choose the position and name for the new sheet in the dialog, then confirm. A new sheet tab appears.
- Right-click the new tab and choose Rename Sheet. Enter a meaningful name, such as Monthly revenue, and confirm. The tab now shows that name.
- Click the original sheet tab to return to its data. Switching tabs changes the active sheet without moving or deleting the other sheets.
- To keep a copy before editing, right-click the sheet you want to copy and choose Duplicate Sheet. Rename the copied sheet so you can distinguish it from the original.
- Save the workbook, then check the tabs and the contents of each sheet. All the sheets belong to the same saved workbook.
Before you continue
Choose short, distinct sheet names that describe their contents, such as Budget and Actuals.
On a Mac, a two-finger click or Control-click opens the sheet tab's context menu.
Deleting a sheet removes its cells and can affect formulas on other sheets. Keep a saved copy before removing a sheet.
