Start and control a slide show
Run a presentation from the beginning or the current slide, then return safely to editing.
This guide is based on application documentation. Its full procedure has not yet been tested directly; some details may vary by operating system and version.
Step by step
- Open and save the presentation before presenting.
- In Home, choose Start from First Slide. You can also open Slide Show to choose the start command.
- To begin at a selected slide instead, select its thumbnail and use Start from Current Slide in Slide Show.
- Click the presentation window or canvas if it does not have focus, then use the Right Arrow to advance.
- Press Escape to stop the slide show and return to the editor.
- Check the slide sequence and any animations before presenting to your audience.

If a key affects the editor instead of the slide show, click the presentation canvas first.
Display setup and presenter-screen arrangement depend on your computer. Check the intended screen before presenting.
