Switch Office interface language and check Arabic direction
Switch the app interface between Arabic and English without confusing interface language with document direction.
This guide is based on application documentation. Its full procedure has not yet been tested directly; some details may vary by operating system and version.
Step by step
- Save your open documents before changing the interface language.
- In SAM Ribbon, choose Interface language in the header. The language choice also exists in the standard interface.
- In the language dialog, choose العربية or English (US), then confirm.
- Allow SAM Office to restart to apply the choice. If a save question appears, save your changes; cancelling it leaves the restart for later.
- Reopen the document and check the menus and ribbon. In narrow windows, use the tab selector to choose the full tab name.
- For Arabic text in SAM Write, check paragraph direction separately in Home > Paragraph. Changing the interface language does not translate your document or automatically change its content language.
Before you continue
A font must support Arabic letters for Arabic text to display properly.
Paragraph direction and alignment are separate controls. Save before closing an app to finish a language change.
